Ah, Sydney. The Emerald City.

here are some things I love:

Kings Cross Organic Markets | Saturdays | 8 am – 2 pm
organic produce, Jimmy Liks’ take on the bacon and egg roll, a fabulous psychic, bulk foods, caramelised chocolate, delicious syrian food.

Seed2Soul Workshops
Nicole and Evan are two of the loveliest people ever, and they teach fermenting and cheesemaking workshops. They head up culinary for Nourish Talks too.

Bread and Butter Project
Hands down the best sourdough in Sydney, maybe the world. And it’s a social enterprise, providing employment and education to refugees.

Parliament on King

A lounge room, cafe, place of dreams and deliciousness. Check out the monthly Local Family Dinners, at which refugees and asylum seekers take over the kitchen and cook food from home.

Nourish Talks | Once each season (January, April, July, October)
This is one of my love projects, a celebration of food, gardens and the power of inspiration as a catalyst for social change. You should totally come, there’s nothing quite like it in Sydney.

Michael Mobbs’ Sustainable House
You can read more about Michael here. A tour of his house or neighbourhood is a total must. You don’t know sustainable Sydney properly until you’ve been there.
